Mini Greek Meatballs
Prep Time: 25 minutes
Makes: 3 dozen (12 servings)

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 small minced onion
2 minced garlic cloves
1 teaspoon cumin
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
1 pound ground lamb or beef
1/2 cup soft fresh bread crumbs
2 tablespoons fresh chopped mint
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 lightly beaten egg
Sauce
8 ounces plain yogurt
2 finely chopped green onions
1/8 teaspoon salt

Heat broiler. Line pan without rack with foil. Spray with nonstick cooking spray. In skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook 5 minutes till tender, stirring occasionally. Stir in spices. Cool mixture slightly. Add lamb, crumbs, mint, lemon juice, salt, pepper and egg. Mix till well blended. Shape into 1 inch balls, handling as little as possible. Place in prepared broiler pan. Place in broiler 5-6 inches from heat. Broil 6 minutes till cooked through.
Sauce
Stir all ingredients together and serve with meatballs.
