1/4 cup tequila
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon fresh chopped cilantro
1 teaspoon grated lime peel
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons lime juice
1-2 fresh jalepenos, seeded and chopped
2 beef t-bone steaks, 10-12 ounces, 3/4 inch thick (ribeye or sirloin, too)
In shallow glass baking dish, combine all ingredients except steaks; mix well. Add meat, turn to coat. Cover and chill 4 hours, turning once. Heat grill. Remove steaks from marinade and reserve marinade. Place over medium heat and cook 10-15 minutes till of desired doneness. Turn once and brush occasionally with marinade. Discard remaining marinade.
