1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast, cubed
1 1/3 cups finely chopped green onion
1 pound fresh sliced mushrooms
2 tablespoons oil
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup flour
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons minced fresh basil
OR
2 teaspoons dried basil
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
hot cooked fettuccine
Saute chicken, onions and mushrooms in skillet in oil till chicken is no longer pink. Melt butter in large saucepan. Stir in flour till smooth. Gradually add broth and cream. Stir in basil and pepper. Bring to boil. Cook and stir 2 minutes till thickened. Stir in chicken mixture and serve over fettuccine.

Very tasty, even with dried basil. Am eager to try with fresh. Even Denzil liked it.
