1/2 cup butter
1/3 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 3/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 package chocolate candy stars

Heat oven to 375°F. Grease cookie sheets. Cream together butter, peanut butter and sugars. Add egg and mix well. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Shape dough into balls, then roll in sugar. Bake for 8 minutes. Remove from oven and place a chocolate star on top of each cookie and press gently. Put back in oven for 1 minute. Remove to rack and let cool completely.
