Chocolate Butterscotch Bars

Makes: 2 dozen

2 1/2 cups chocolate or vanilla wafer cookie crumbs 1/4 cup melted butter 1 cup sweetened flaked coconut 6 ounces grated or chopped semi-sweet chocolate 1 cup butterscotch chips 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Heat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 13x9 inch pan. In a medium bowl, combine cookie crumbs, melted butter and chocolate extract. Press evenly onto bottom of prepared pan. Sprinkle with coconut, grated chocolate and butterscotch chips. Pour condensed milk over the top. Bake for 15 minutes. Sprinkle the pecans over the top and continue baking for 5-10 minutes or till edges are lightly browned. Cool in pan on a rack. Cut into bars.
