Brown Sugar Bars with Milk Chocolate & Pecans

1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup golden brown sugar
6 tablespoons melted butter
1 egg
3 tablespoons orange liqueur
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
6 ounces milk chocolate, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1/3 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup chopped candied orange peel

Heat oven to 350°F. Butter 8 inch square baking pan. Mix first 3 ingredients in small bowl. Whisk brown sugar, butter, egg, 2 tablespoons liqueur and vanilla in large bowl to blend. Add dry ingredients and stir to blend. Stir in chocolate, pecans and peel. Transfer batter to prepared pan. Bake 25 minutes till golden and toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Transfer pan to rack. Brush top with remaining liqueur. Cool completely in pan. Cut into squares.
