2 1/2 cups sugar Heat oven to 350°F. Beat together sugar, butter, shortening, vanilla and eggs till light and fluffy. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt. Stir in chips. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake 11-13 minutes till light golden brown. Cool 1 minute on sheet before removing to racks to cool completely. |
