4 slices bacon, cut into 1 inch pieces
1 cup finely chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
1/2 pound mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
4 ounces wild rice, cooked according to package directions
2 cups fresh bread crumbs
1/2 pound sausage, cooked
1 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon sage
salt
black pepper
Heat oven to 325°F. Grease 2 quart casserole dish. In medium-size skillet, over medium heat, sauté bacon till almost crisp. Add onion, celery and mushrooms; continue cooking till vegetables are tender. In large bowl combine bacon mixture, wild rice, bread crumbs, cooked sausage, oregano and sage. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Spoon dressing into prepared dish. Bake, covered, for 35-40 minutes.
