1/2 pound fresh asparagus
1/2 cup olive oil
1 minced clove garlic
Break ends off asparagus where they snap naturally. Cut asparagus on the diagonal into 1 inch lengths. Heat olive oil in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Add asparagus and sauté 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally, till crisp-tender. Stir in garlic, sauté 1 minute more and serve.
