Bryan Hansen's Famous Chili
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Serves: 8-10

2 pounds lean ground beef
1 large yellow onion, chopped
1 large green bell pepper, chopped
2 minced cloves garlic
2 cans (15 ounce) chili beans with gravy
2 cans (14.5 ounce) diced tomatoes
3 cups tomato juice
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons crushed red pepper
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper

In 5-6 quart Dutch oven, brown ground beef with onion, pepper and garlic till meat is no longer pink and onion is tender. Do not drain. Cook, covered, over medium heat 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain fat. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to boil and reduce heat. Cover and simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
