1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil
9 ounces refrigerated cheese tortellini
OR
4 ounces dried cheese tortellini
6 cups chicken broth
2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
10 ounces cooked chunk-style chicken
1 teaspoon bouquet-garni or fines herbes
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Cook onion and garlic in hot oil 2 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to boiling and reduce heat. Simmer 5-10 minutes for refrigerated tortellini and 15-20 minutes for dried tortellini till pasta is tender.
