3-3 1/2 pound cut up fryer chicken
10 cups water
2 medium stalks celery, coarsely chopped
2 medium carrots, coarsely chopped
2 medium onions, coarsely chopped
2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Mix all ingredients in 6 quart slow cooker. Cover and cook on low 6-8 hours. Remove solids from broth and cool. To make broth clear, strain through cheesecloth lined colander. Discard skin, bones, vegetables and use chicken for another use.
